TREX TV App Download for Android TV and Firestick

Every build we publish, with its real version, package name, size, Android requirement, Downloader code and SHA-256 checksum — read from the file itself, not typed in by hand.

Steps last verified 22 August 2026.

You do not have to use our app. A TREX TV subscription is a line, not a locked-down device. Any player that speaks Xtream Codes or M3U will work, including ones you already have. The builds below are simply the ones we publish and can vouch for.

Android builds we publish

Every figure below was read from that exact file — the version and package name come from the APK’s own manifest, and the SHA-256 is the digest of the file you will download. If your download does not match the checksum, it is not the file we published; delete it and download again.

Installing with a Downloader code

On a Firestick or an Android TV, typing a URL with a remote is painful, so the builds are also reachable through the free Downloader app using the numeric codes listed above.

  1. Install Downloader

From the Amazon Appstore on Fire TV, or Google Play on Android TV. It is free and published by AFTVnews.

  2. Allow Downloader to install apps

Fire TV: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps. Android TV: Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources.

  3. Enter the code

Type the code for the build you want and press Go.

  4. Install, then delete the installer

Choose Install → Done → Delete. Deleting the APK file does not remove the installed app.

  5. Sign in

Choose Xtream Codes and enter the server URL, username and password from your activation message.

Device-specific walk-throughs: Firestick, Fire TV and Cube, Android TV, Android boxes, phones and tablets.

What the app asks permission for

These are the permissions declared in the manifests above, in plain language.

PermissionWhat it is used for
Internet & network stateRequired to stream and to detect when you go offline.
Wi-Fi stateLets the player pick a bitrate that matches your connection.
Keep awakeStops the screen sleeping mid-programme.
StorageCaches the channel list and stores your playlist locally.
Install unknown appsOnly used when the app offers you its own update (TREX PRO / TREX VIP).
Start on bootOptional — lets the app relaunch after a TV reboot (TREX PRO / TREX VIP).

Installing safely

Download from this page

Links here point at the files whose checksums are published above. A build from a forum or a video description is not one we can vouch for.

Check the checksum if it matters to you

Any file-hash app on Android will show a file’s SHA-256. Compare it with the value above before you install.

Turn the permission back off

After installing you can switch “install unknown apps” back off for the browser or Downloader. The installed app keeps working.

Do not use a modded build

Repacked APKs are the usual route for malware on TV devices. If the package name does not match the list above, it is not our build.

Changelog

We publish build dates rather than release notes, because these builds come from the app developers rather than from us and we will not invent a change list we cannot verify. The build date and version of each file are in the table above, and they change when the file changes.

Is the app on Google Play or the App Store?

No. Neither store permits a general-purpose playlist player distributed alongside a third-party subscription. Sideloading on Android, and a store player elsewhere, are the supported routes.

Is it safe to install an APK?

Installing an APK is as safe as the file you install. That is exactly why the package name, size and SHA-256 of each build are published above — so you can check that what you downloaded is what we published, rather than taking it on trust.

Which build should I choose?

They are alternative players for the same line, from the same developer family, with different interfaces. Try one during your free trial; if you do not like it, install another. Your subscription is unaffected.

Do I need a new download when my subscription renews?

No. Renewal extends the line. The app stays as it is.

Can I install on more than one device?

Yes, on as many as you like. Your plan limits simultaneous streams, not installations — see plans and pricing.
