TREX TV M3U Playlist Setup
An M3U playlist is a single text URL containing every channel your line can see. Any player that reads M3U — VLC, Kodi, a Samsung or LG store app, a car-boot Android box — can use it.

Before you start. Your TREX TV line details — server URL, username and password — are sent to you on WhatsApp or Telegram the moment your free 24-hour trial or paid plan is activated. Keep that message: every app on this page needs the same three values. If you have lost it, message support on WhatsApp and we will resend it.
What you need
- A player that accepts an M3U or M3U8 URL
- Your TREX TV server URL, username and password
How the URL is built
An Xtream Codes server exposes your playlist at a predictable address. Take the server, username and password from your activation message and assemble them like this:

output | ts, m3u8, hls | ts is a raw transport stream — lowest latency, best for a stable connection. m3u8/hls is segmented — more tolerant of a flaky link, slightly higher latency. |
Adding it to common players
VLC
Open Media → Open Network Stream and paste the URL. Best used only for testing that a line works.
Kodi

Windows & macOS
Any desktop M3U player takes the URL directly. VLC works; a dedicated playlist player gives you a usable guide.
The EPG is a separate URL
An M3U carries channels only. Programme data comes from an XMLTV file at its own address, which is in your activation message. Players that ask for both will have separate M3U and EPG/XMLTV fields. If the guide stays blank after you add it, work through EPG not loading.

Questions about this device
The playlist downloads but no channels appear.
Usually type=m3u_plus on a player that only understands plain m3u. Change the parameter and reload.
Should I save the M3U as a file?
No. Use the URL. A saved file is a snapshot and will not pick up channel changes — see playlist not updating.
Can I share the URL with family?
The URL contains your username and password. Anyone holding it can consume your connections. Treat it like a password.
