FAQ

TREX TV Frequently Asked Questions

The questions that actually come up before and after buying — answered on the page, not hidden behind a support form.

Before you buy

What am I actually paying for?

A subscription line — a server address, a username and a password — that gives you a catalogue of live channels and on-demand titles over your ordinary internet connection. You are not buying hardware, and you are not tied to our app.

Is there a trial?

Yes. Twenty-four hours, no card, nothing to cancel, with the same catalogue a paid line gets. Set it up on the device you actually intend to watch on, at the time of day you actually watch.

What does it cost?

Plans start at $10 a month for one connection and run to four simultaneous connections, for terms from one month to a year. The full matrix is on the pricing page and is generated from the checkout, so it cannot drift from what you are charged.

Will a specific channel be there?

Ask us before you buy. We do not publish broadcaster names as marketing, because TREX TV supplies the player and the line and holds no distribution rights it can show you. Send us the channel name on WhatsApp and you will get a straight answer.

Does it renew automatically?

No. A plan runs for the term you bought and then stops until you renew.

Devices and setup

Which devices work?

Firestick, Fire TV, Android TV and boxes, Android phones and tablets, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Samsung and LG smart TVs from 2018 onward, MAG boxes, Enigma2 receivers, Kodi, Windows and macOS. Full list with requirements on supported devices.

Can I install the app on a Samsung or LG TV?

No — Tizen and webOS do not run Android apps and block sideloading on retail sets. You use a store player and register your playlist by MAC address instead: Samsung, LG.

Does it work on Roku?

No. Roku does not permit sideloading and its channel store has no playlist player that accepts an external line. A Fire TV stick or Android device in a spare HDMI port is the practical answer.

Do I have to use your app?

No. Any player that speaks Xtream Codes or M3U works, including TiviMate, Smarters Pro, Kodi and VLC.

Is the app on Google Play or the App Store?

No. Neither store permits this class of player. On Android you sideload; elsewhere you use a store player with your line. Every build we publish lists its package name, size and SHA-256 on the download page.

Connections and quality

What is a “connection”?

One stream playing at one moment. It is not a device and not a login — install on as many devices as you like, but only as many as your plan allows can play at the same time.

How much internet speed do I need?

Roughly 3–8 Mbps sustained for HD and 15–25 Mbps for 4K, per stream. Sustained, not peak — the full explanation is in how much speed HD and 4K need.

Is everything in 4K?

No. Streams are carried at whatever quality the source provides, from SD to 4K. 4K uses H.265/HEVC and needs a device that decodes it in hardware.

Why does it buffer?

Almost always contention, Wi-Fi, or the wrong decoder setting — in that order. The buffering fix works through them.

Account and support

The app says invalid credentials.

Usually a typo, a trailing space, or a URL with a slash on the end. Five checks in order in app login failure.

Can I use my line in two houses?

Technically yes, within your connection count. Be aware that a line appearing from several places at once is the most common trigger for an account being stopped.

How do I get support?

WhatsApp or Telegram. Send the channel name, the time, the device and whether a second device does the same — otherwise the first reply will just ask for them.

Can I get a refund?

See the refund policy for the window and how to ask.

I want to resell TREX, not watch it.

That is a different product with its own panel, documentation and pricing — see TREX TV.
