TREX TV Setup on Smarters Pro

Smarters Pro is the most widely installed cross-platform playlist player — Android, Android TV, iOS and desktop all use the same Xtream Codes login.

Before you start. Your TREX TV line details — server URL, username and password — are sent to you on WhatsApp or Telegram the moment your free 24-hour trial or paid plan is activated. Keep that message: every app on this page needs the same three values. If you have lost it, message support on WhatsApp and we will resend it.

  • Smarters Pro on your platform
  • Your TREX TV server URL, username and password

Signing in to Smarters Pro

  1. Open the app and choose the login type

    Select Login with Xtream Codes API. The Load Your Playlist or File/URL option loads a flat M3U and gives you no categories, no guide and no on-demand section — avoid it unless you have a reason.

  2. Fill in the three fields

    Any name is a label for you, so put anything. Username and Password come from your activation message. URL is the server address including http:// and the port if one is given — do not add a trailing slash.

  3. Add

    Tap Add User. The app fetches your channel list and guide.

  4. Pick your decoder if playback stutters

    Settings → Player Selection. Try the hardware decoder first, then software. Which decoder to use explains the trade-off.

Getting the URL right

Nine out of ten failed Smarters logins are the URL field. It must be the bare host and port — for example http://example-host.com:8080. Do not paste the full get.php?username=… playlist link into it; that link belongs in the M3U field of a different kind of player. The Xtream Codes guide shows both forms side by side.

“Invalid credentials” with a correct username and password almost always means a trailing slash or a missing port in the URL, or that your subscription has expired. App login failure walks through it in order.

Is Smarters Pro free?

The base app is free on most platforms. It is published by a third party, not by TREX TV.

Can I add two lines to one install?

Yes. Smarters Pro supports multiple users; switch between them from the home screen.

The on-demand section is empty.

That happens when the app was added with a flat M3U instead of Xtream Codes. Delete the user and add it again using Login with Xtream Codes API.
