TREX TV Setup on an Android Phone or Tablet

On a phone or tablet you download the APK straight from the browser — no Downloader app, no code, no computer.

Before you start. Your TREX TV line details — server URL, username and password — are sent to you on WhatsApp or Telegram the moment your free 24-hour trial or paid plan is activated. Keep that message: every app on this page needs the same three values. If you have lost it, message support on WhatsApp and we will resend it.

What you need

  • Android 5.0 or newer
  • About 60 MB free storage
  • Your TREX TV server URL, username and password

Installing on Android

  1. Open the download page

    Go to the TREX TV download page in Chrome or your usual browser and tap the build you want. Each one lists its exact version, file size and SHA-256 checksum.

  2. Accept the browser warning

    Chrome warns that APK files can harm your device. That warning appears for every file of this type, including ones you download from a developer directly. Tap Download anyway, then Open.

  3. Allow your browser to install apps

    Android 8 and later ask per app. Tap Settings in the prompt and enable Allow from this source for your browser, then press back and tap Install.

  4. Check the file if you want to be certain

    Any file-hash app can show a downloaded file's SHA-256. Compare it with the value on the download page. If they differ, delete the file and download again.

  5. Sign in with your line

    Open the app and choose Xtream Codes (sometimes labelled Login with Xtream Codes API). Enter the server URL, username and password from your activation message exactly as written — they are case-sensitive. Give it 10–30 seconds to pull the channel list and guide.

Streaming 4K over mobile data will move several gigabytes an hour. On a metered plan, set the quality lower in the player's settings or stay on Wi-Fi.

Questions about this device

Is the app on the Google Play Store?

No. Play policy does not permit this class of player. The APK route is the supported one.

Will I get updates automatically?

The TREX PRO and TREX VIP builds check for their own updates and prompt you. TREX IBO does not — recheck the download page occasionally.

Can I cast to a TV?

Screen mirroring works, but it re-encodes the picture and adds latency. Installing directly on the TV device gives a far better result — see supported devices.
