TREX TV Setup on an LG Smart TV
LG televisions run webOS. Like Samsung's Tizen, webOS blocks sideloading, so you use a store player and register your playlist against the TV. The steps mirror Samsung's with a few LG-specific details.

Before you start. Your TREX TV line details — server URL, username and password — are sent to you on WhatsApp or Telegram the moment your free 24-hour trial or paid plan is activated. Keep that message: every app on this page needs the same three values. If you have lost it, message support on WhatsApp and we will resend it.
What you need
- An LG Smart TV running webOS 4.0 or newer (2018 models onward)
- A webOS playlist player from the LG Content Store
- Your TREX TV M3U URL — see the M3U playlist guide
Installing on LG webOS
- Open the LG Content Store
Press Home, open the LG Content Store, and search for a playlist player supporting M3U or Xtream Codes. IBO Player, Smart IPTV and Set IPTV all publish webOS builds.
- Note the MAC address
The app shows a MAC address and an activation web address on first run. On LG this is the TV's wired MAC even when you are on Wi-Fi — use whatever the app displays, not what the router shows.
- Register the playlist
Open the app's website on a phone, enter the MAC, paste your TREX TV M3U URL and save.
- Relaunch
Fully close the app (Home → hold the app tile → Close) and reopen it. Channels load from the registered URL.
- Point the guide at your EPG URL
Use the EPG URL from your activation message where the player offers a separate field.

LG's Magic Remote pointer is convenient in menus but awkward inside a channel grid. Most of these players respond to the D-pad ring around the wheel — use that for channel surfing.
Questions about this device
Can I sideload an APK onto an LG TV?
No. webOS is not Android. Retail LG sets do not accept sideloaded applications.
The app shows “playlist not found”.
Almost always a typo in the URL on the registration page, or a URL that has expired. Paste it again from your activation message rather than retyping it.
Does 4K work on LG?
Yes on 2018-and-newer sets, which decode HEVC in hardware. Whether a given channel is 4K depends on the source.
