TREX TV Setup on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Cube
Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Omni and the built-in Fire TV in some televisions all run Fire OS, so they install TREX TV the same way a Firestick does — with one wrinkle on the Cube worth knowing first.

Before you start. Your TREX TV line details — server URL, username and password — are sent to you on WhatsApp or Telegram the moment your free 24-hour trial or paid plan is activated. Keep that message: every app on this page needs the same three values. If you have lost it, message support on WhatsApp and we will resend it.
What you need
- Fire TV Cube (any generation), Fire TV Omni, or a TV with Fire TV built in
- The free Downloader app
- Your TREX TV server URL, username and password
Installing on Fire TV
- Open the Appstore and install Downloader
Say “Alexa, open Downloader” or search the Appstore manually. On Fire TV Omni sets the Appstore lives under the Appstore row on the home screen.
- Allow installs from Downloader
Fire OS asks for permission the first time an app installs another app. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps and switch Downloader to On. On Fire OS 7 and later, Developer options only appears after you open Settings → My Fire TV → About and click Fire TV Stick seven times.
- Enter the Downloader code
Open Downloader, put the cursor in the URL box, type
2892546and press Go. That code downloads the TREX PRO installer. Codes are also listed on the download page together with each build's version and checksum. - Install, then delete the installer
Choose Install → Done → Delete. On a Cube with 16 GB storage this matters less than on a stick, but it keeps the Downloads folder tidy.
- Sign in with your line
Open the app and choose Xtream Codes (sometimes labelled Login with Xtream Codes API). Enter the server URL, username and password from your activation message exactly as written — they are case-sensitive. Give it 10–30 seconds to pull the channel list and guide.
The Fire TV Cube difference
The Cube can pass HDMI through from a set-top box and can control your TV over HDMI-CEC and IR. If you have the Cube switching inputs for you, set the TV input back to the Cube before you report a black screen — a wrong input is by far the most common “no video” report on this device. If the input is right and you still see nothing, work through black screen and no video.
The Cube and Omni have a wired Ethernet port. If you can reach the router with a cable, use it. It removes the largest single variable in stream stability and is the first thing we ask about on a support ticket.
Questions about this device
Does the Fire TV Cube handle 4K?
Yes — second and third generation Cubes decode 4K HEVC in hardware. Whether a given stream is 4K depends on the source; the app shows the resolution in the info bar during playback.
Can I launch TREX TV with Alexa?
Alexa can open sideloaded apps by name once they have been launched manually at least once. Voice search inside the channel list is not supported.
My Fire TV built into the TV has no Developer options.
Some Fire TV Edition televisions hide the menu until you open Settings → My Fire TV → About and click the device name seven times, exactly as on a stick.
