TREX TV Setup on iPad

The iPad takes the same App Store route as the iPhone, with a couple of tablet-specific settings worth changing on day one.

Steps last verified 22 August 2026.

Before you start. Your TREX TV line details — server URL, username and password — are sent to you on WhatsApp or Telegram the moment your free 24-hour trial or paid plan is activated. Keep that message: every app on this page needs the same three values. If you have lost it, message support on WhatsApp and we will resend it.

What you need

  • iPad running iPadOS 15 or newer
  • An App Store playlist player with Xtream Codes support
  • Your TREX TV server URL, username and password

Installing on iPad

  1. Install a player

Search the App Store for a player listing Xtream Codes support. Prefer one with an iPad-native layout rather than a stretched iPhone app — the channel grid is far easier to use.

  2. Sign in with your line

Open the app and choose Xtream Codes (sometimes labelled Login with Xtream Codes API). Enter the server URL, username and password from your activation message exactly as written — they are case-sensitive. Give it 10–30 seconds to pull the channel list and guide.

  3. Turn off auto-lock while watching

Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock. Some players hold the screen awake themselves; many do not, and the screen dimming mid-programme is the most common complaint on tablets.

  4. Set up Picture in Picture

Most current players support PiP, which lets the stream keep playing in a corner while you use another app. It is normally on by default; the switch is in the player's own settings.

On cellular iPads, the player will happily stream 4K over mobile data and burn through an allowance in an evening. Set a quality cap in the player's settings if your plan is metered.

Questions about this device

Can I split-screen the stream with another app?

Yes, if the player supports Slide Over and Split View. Picture in Picture is more reliable and works in every current player we have tested.

Why is the guide empty on iPad but fine on my TV?

Some iOS players fetch the guide lazily and only for the current category. Open a channel first, then the guide. If it is still empty, see EPG not loading.

Does one subscription cover iPad and iPhone?

The same line works on both. Simultaneous use is limited by your connection count — see pricing.
